Medical City Healthcare
Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) changed the name of its North Texas division (HCA North Texas) in order to unify all 20 of their regional hospitals and facilities under one name, Medical City Healthcare. These facilities included 13 hospitals and 7 freestanding emergency rooms.
The brand refresh saw updates to the color palette and added a visual cue to the logo icon to distinguish the new community healthcare system from the original standalone hospital, Medical City Dallas. The added visual cue would become the “circle of care” encompassing the entire comprehensive network.
In addition to the naming and logo changes, the company needed a naming system to differentiate hierarchy among the hospital locations and numerous facilities for each location. The brand architecture was organized with a new typography system to supplement the updated brand typography. Identity standards were developed comprising of stationery, corporate collateral, business templates, brand patterns, and guidelines for facility naming and signage dimensions. These identity assets extended beyond print and influenced digital and video productions.
